(More customer reviews)I have lots of Xantech products and I like them a lot. Not this one. Every second or third day, this one would get in a weird state where the light would stay lit (it's only supposed to go on when a remote is pressed) and it would stop working. I checked to see if it was related to some other source of IR making it go crazy, but it was just a bad unit. I even swapped another IR receiver from another room (model Smartdisk 291-10) to make sure that there were no exogenous factors, and sure enough, that worked fine. I sent it back and of course had no hassles from Amazon. I was unwilling to try again since I knew that model Smartdisk 291-10 worked for me.
I want to be clear that this may have been just a bad unit in an otherwise good product, but I never had any problems with other Xantech products so I didn't want to re-order this one. I know that the other model will work for me.
