(More customer reviews)Took it camping and could not use this remote to take a group picture because the range was so short. Ended up having to use the camera's built-in timer and run back to get in the photo. When I got home I could not get it to work reliably beyond 12 ft. So I used a new battery, and curiously I could not get it to work reliably beyond 10 ft. It needs to work at 20 ft to be generally useful. I'm trying to return it but is a little over the stated return date. If I can't return, I'll just toss it.
So I ordered the other 3 remotes I found at Amazon for the Sony Nex-5 and will do a side-by-side comparison of all 3 when they arrive, and return the other two (or all 3 if they don't work to out to at least 18 ft). I just want a good remote that I can count on.
