(More customer reviews)I'm not sure what the problems might have been with the other reviewer, I'm guessing a malfunctioning device? In any case, I ordered this anyways, and it works exactly as I expected. I had no problems connecting it, and the delay timer works just fine. The only 'trick' seems to be that you have to have the "Shutter release timer" set to at least 1 second, otherwise it won't take any pictures. Therefore, if you want exactly one picture, you also have to set the camera in single-shot mode.
Here are some example settings:
Take 3 pictures, each 5 seconds apart: Set the timer to 5 seconds, elapse time to 1 second, and number of pictures to 3. Camera in single-shot mode.
Take a set of pictures after a 10 second delay, for 3 seconds: Set the timer to 10 seconds, elapse time to 3 seconds, and number of pictures to 1. Camera needs to be in multi-shot mode.Since there's only one timer (as far as I can tell), the initial delay, and the delay between each picture, is always the same. This is semi-annoying, but I can deal with it (so I'll get a few extra pictures in the beginning that I can throw away, no biggie).
