(More customer reviews)This IR receiver is nice in that it matches the TV, which makes it less obtrusive. I discovered that you do not need to use it with the pricey Niles MSU140 main system unit. It works fine with the Wired Home WH-IRH, also available here on amazon through Parts Express. The silver one matches my Sharp Aquos 37" LCD and the black one matches my Pioneer plasma. Unfortunatly, the one mounted on the LCD flickers for a minute or so after the TV is first turned on and cannot be used to control the remote devices durring this time. Once the flickering passes, it works fine. This does not happen on the plasma. Dinging this two stars. One for being overpriced compared to other available options (had to have these because they matched). One star deducted because of the LCD problem.
