(More customer reviews)as pictured here and every other place I can find it listed this unit will NOT work with a Pentax K-X which uses an IR (infrared) remote only and NEVER a cable.
This is probably a VERY nice unit if you have a camera which will accept a wired remote however there is no plug on a Pentax K-X at all.
Please check (in my manual) page 17 in the users manual where every control and plug on the camera is diagramed, or page 135 where the remote is discussed.
These pages are the same as the PDF available from Pentax USA as of 2010/08/14.
I would desperately love to see such a device which has an IR sending device that can be positioned to hang in front to the camera which beams to the cameras IR receiver from the RF receiver
